Restorative Justice: Heart of Integrity

The New Home of the MARIE O'HARA DONATION DRIVE (previously hosted at someoneskid.keepkidshealthy.com). Emergency meetings of the Missouri Baptist Convention have been requested since September and October 2010 (see the page entitled, Dark Dawn, below). The participation of the administration and governance of Southwest Baptist University and the First Baptist Church of Bolivar, Missouri is also anticipated -- now extended to the Southern Baptist Convention Meeting, June 14-15.

Yes, INSURANCE FRAUD IS ILLEGAL: to lie in despositions, to "contact and encourage witnesses to give false information," or to destroy evidence . . .

... EVEN for a Christian university ... or a politician.

See example (here).

Oh, yes, and lawyers DO sometimes LIE.

Over the last week or so, Marie has been taking comments and recommendations from a number of sources, including the returning Southwest Baptist University students.

Although Marie has made some relatively minor adjustments, on the whole, the Comprehensive Compensation and Care Package (see here) will remain intact.

The Package will be presented to the Missouri Baptist Convention Executive Board this coming week, the first week of September.

We will be posting some information and notes on this and other subjects shortly.

Posting: Tuesday (August 31).

Tuesday, July 27, 2010, about 7:10 am:

Marie's recovery from the chemical assaults [see (here) (here) and (here)] has been slowed by yet another week of heat and humidity. However, she is making steady progress and we appreciate your prayers.

Thursday, July 22, 2010, about 6:10 am:

Marie's recovery from the chemical assaults of the last month has been slow and painful -- complicated by almost a week of excessive heat and pollution indexes approaching the "orange" (unhealthy for sensitive groups) level, with little relief expected until after the weekend.

______________________

Thursday, June 17, about 7:30 am (CST):

HELP, HARM or HINDRANCE?

Yesterday, Marie was presented with a crisis ... and an opportunity.

Once again, this summer, Marie will be subjected to potentially harmful and injurious exposures in her home environment, which could possibly render her home uninhabitable, complicate her injuries, and incapacitate her to the point that she would not be able to relocate this summer.

We appreciate your prayers!

We will be posting further details late Thursday evening. (here)
______________

Monday, June 14, about 2:30 am (CST):

We are thankful for the safe return of Pastor Billy Russell from a mission trip to Russia.

Although we understand that not all of the (former) pastors and staff will be available, Marie will be resuming discussions with the First Baptist Church of Bolivar and the Missouri Baptist Convention this week.

Key Decision Dates: Thursday, June 17, and Monday, June 21.

Your prayers are appreciated.

We will also be posting this week concerning several new developments.
______________

Thursday, June 10, about 10:00 pm (CST):

Communication with the pastors of First Baptist Church of Bolivar will resume this weekend.

Thursday, June 10, about 1:30 am (CST)
:

We have been unable to publish on Blogger for two days; the service has finally been restored, though.

Pastor Rev. Billy Russell and Dr. Ray Leininger are due to return mid-week from a two-week mission trip to Russia.

We will be posting on Thursday through Sunday, June 10 - 12, concerning new developments.

Marie is doing well after a bout of severe illness over the last week. Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Finals week at SBU!

Communications will continue this week, May 17 - 21, in preparation for Pentecost Sunday weekend.

Back on track after severe illness ... and back on schedule.

______________

Monday morning, May 10, 2010:

For the past four days, Marie has been severely ill from an accidental exposure -- resulting from an unannounced change of ingredients in a previously well-tolerated product.

On Sunday, she was able to eat small meal: She is doing better and should be able to participate in the SBU Trustee meeting this Monday and Tuesday.

______________

SPIRITUAL ECOLOGY AND SUSTAINABLE MINISTRY: This past week, we have worked to provide a foundation for the meeting of the Southwest Baptist University Boards of Trustees on this Monday and Tuesday, May 10 - 11.

This weekend, we will be contacting the First Baptist Church of Bolivar.

______________

Thursday, May 6, 2010 about 5:00 am:

INSTRUMENTS OF PEACE, Minimizing Further Harm: In order to minimize further harm to those involved, several individuals will be notified by mail concerning the events of the next week. Those individual letters should be arriving on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (May 6 - 8).

Additionally, the letter to the pastors of First Baptist Church of Bolivar should arrive within that time frame. The pastors will be asked to intervene by taking positive action in this situation. If they are unwilling or unable, the pastors will be asked to deliver the letter to the Southwest Baptist University Board of Trustees, who will be meeting on Monday and Tuesday, May 10 and 11 at SBU.

If the issue remains unresolved by that Tuesday, the Missouri Baptist Convention will be asked to intervene.

REDIRECTION: Although substantial alterations have been required in order to accommodate the significant changes in the situation, we will be working with First Baptist Church of Bolivar this week to effect a resolution. (see post here).

Sunday, March 21, 2010: Happy Spring!

We are waiting for the arrival of some information and will post as soon as possible once it arrives

Behind the scenes, there has been much activity within the several week.

In addition to the sudden and difficult illness of one of the principals (which has delayed the proceedings for the last two weeks), changing events required extended revisions and adaptions.

Now that these are resolved, we will begin several postings, as soon as possible.
